Data Protection Acknowledgment & Consent

Glinks International Education Support Services L.L.C (“Glinks”) processes personal data in accordance with UAE data protection legislation. This signed document records acknowledgment and consent from students and parents/guardians, including information on retention, access rights, and deletion rights.

Supported UAE Laws & Regulations

Glinks complies with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its Executive Regulation under Cabinet Decision No. 44 of 2022. Processing also supports requirements for lawful consent capture, secure storage, breach notification obligations, data minimization, data subject rights to access, correction, and deletion, and lawful international data transfer standards as supervised by the UAE Data Office.

1. Policy Acknowledgment

By proceeding, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the way Glinks collects and processes personal data for delivering education support services, including programmes such as enrolment facilitation, certificate verification, support communications, and compliance reporting.

2. Personal Data Collected

Only personal data required for service delivery is collected. This may include student and parent/guardian names, email and phone contacts, nationality where required, academic history, certificates, programme registration information, support logs, and online identifiers when lawful and consented.

3. Sensitive Personal Data

Sensitive personal data such as health information or disability support details are only processed when essential and lawful, stored securely with encryption and access controls, and shared only with authorised contractually-bound partner systems.

4. Data Sharing

Glinks may share personal data strictly with authorised third parties to fulfill service delivery and legal compliance. These may include partner universities, accreditation bodies, contracted CRM/LMS/email providers, and payment platforms when required. All sharing is limited by purpose and protected by contractual data processing agreements.

5. Data Retention

Retention periods follow UAE law limits. Student records and academic service data are retained up to 5 years after service completion. Financial data may be retained 5‑7 years if required by law. Non‑enrolled lead data is retained 2 years after last activity. Sensitive support data is retained 1 year after closure unless instructed otherwise. After retention expiry, data is anonymised or securely deleted using verified erasure methods.

6. Data Subject Rights

Under UAE PDPL, you have the right to ask Glinks what personal data is being held about you or your child, request access to a copy of that data, request correction, request deletion when no lawful retention obligation exists, and withdraw consent at any time. Requests are responded to within 30 days unless legally extended.

7. Right to Deletion

You may request deletion of personal data. Requests may only be declined if retention is required by binding UAE law, active contract obligations, or judicial/regulatory instruction. Approved deletions result in permanent erasure from all Glinks‑controlled systems via secure, verified methods.
