The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), affectionately known by its traditional name “TF,” stands as one of Central Europe’s most storied and professionally acclaimed institutions for physical education and sports science. Since its establishment in 1925, HUSS has evolved from a prestigious national academy into a modern center of excellence, preserving its rich legacy while leading the way in innovative research and education. Our faculty includes Olympic coaches and renowned researchers like Professor Zsolt Radák, whose groundbreaking work on exercise physiology is published in leading journals. HUSS offers comprehensive English-language programs including Bachelor's degrees in Sport & Exercise Science, Sports Coaching, and Sports Management (3 years); Master's programs in Sports Coaching (2 years) and International Sports Diplomacy (1 year); and a PhD program in Sports Sciences (4 years). We also offer specialized short courses like the International Coaching Course (8 weeks), ICF Canoeing Coaching Course (10 weeks), and FIE Fencing Coach Program. Additionally, we host a Summer School in Frontiers in Exercise Physiology. All programs combine academic excellence with practical training at elite sports facilities.
HUSS provides world-class facilities including the Research Center for Molecular Exercise Science, advanced biomechanics and exercise physiology laboratories, modern sports halls, competition-grade facilities for various sports, and specialized training centers. Students have access to the comprehensive Library and Archives with specialized sports literature and digital resources. Through partnerships with Hungary's top sports clubs (MTK, FTC, Vasas), students work directly with professional athletes. The ongoing campus modernization project is creating Hungary's most advanced sport university campus with expanded facilities for education and research.
